Job summary

Alpek Polyester USA, LLC seeks a Material Handler to join the Pearl River site Operations team in Bay St. Louis, MS.

You will support plant operations by shipping finished product and unloading raw materials in a continuous manufacturing environment with a strong safety mindset and ownership. Responsibilities include loading trucks and railcars, setting up railcars, operating forklifts and related equipment, taking product samples, handling shipping paperwork, data entry, and maintaining clear

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills expected.
Good interpersonal communication and safety practices.
Proficient with computers and data entry.

Responsibilities

Load trucks and railcars with finished product.
Perform break down and setup of raw material railcars.
Operate an engine locomotive, shuttle wagon, track mobile, and forklift.
Collect samples of product from top and bottom of railcars and trailers.
Process bill of ladings, COA’s and load sheets for shipments.
Use computers, scanners, and manual entry to input data.
Complete a rail yard inventory and input updated information into computer database.
Communicate between scale gate, co-workers, and truck drivers via radio and telephone.
Perform general housekeeping.
