Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Material Handler in Mississippi to move and package finished coils, operate a forklift and crane, and support multiple areas of the plant. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and flexibility to cover diverse tasks on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Desirable metals/coating/roll forming or industrial manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Crane operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate exit recoiler controls, packaging line, forklift and crane equipment as required.
• Assist with shipping/receiving of raw materials and finished coils.
• Support line operators and other plant areas as priorities shift.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify Quality Control as needed.
• Communicate daily with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to resolve issues.
