Job summary

RTX is seeking a Material Handler in Foley, AL to support assembly operations with inventory movement, kitting, and timely delivery of components to production lines. You will operate vertical lift modules and use ERP tools to manage stock and issue parts to work orders.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, inventory management skills, and ERP system familiarity; experience with SAP is preferred. Onsite shift is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Inventory management experience.
• ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage material flow by performing kitting, inventory retrieval, and timely delivery of components to production areas.
• Receive, verify, and store parts in controlled stockroom locations using automated vertical lift systems and ERP tools.
• Perform SAP goods‑movement transactions and issue parts to work orders.
• Monitor production schedules, rates, and material needs.
• Conduct cycle counts and ERP research to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain 5S standards and a FOD-free material environment; conduct DIVEs and report findings to leadership.
• Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve material flow and processes.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Quality, and Engineering to ensure materials meet schedule and configuration requirements.
• Coordinate with Team Leader, Quality, Engineering, or Production Control to resolve part discrepancies or documentation issues.
• Provide backup coverage for other material handling functions during absences or peak production periods.
• Participate in team meetings, Tag-ups and daily management/production walks as needed.
• Assist with inventory replenishment projects, including organizing overflow storage and rotating stock.
• Participate in and help influence Continuous Improvement events
• Support receiving activities by assisting with incoming material inspections and staging parts for put‑away.
• Maintain compliance with EHS guidelines by monitoring safe material movement and reporting hazards.
