Job summary

Carter Architectural Millwork is seeking a Material Handler to perform receiving, checking, picking and loading of material to and from trucks and warehouse. You will help ensure shipments are assembled correctly and materials are restocked, while maintaining accurate records and clear communication with Purchasing and Production.

The role requires basic math, ability to read packing slips and work orders, and a safety-minded, dependable team player who can operate forklifts and other

Qualifications

• Experience in material-handling or related fields preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, bills of materials, labels, packing slips and basic production docs.
• Basic math, counting, measuring and inventory-recording with attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain authorization to operate material-handling equipment.
• Dependable, safety-minded and able to work as part of a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound deliveries and verify materials against POs and packing slips.
• Inspect materials for quantity, specs, damage, and discrepancies.
• Document shortages/overages/damages and communicate with Purchasing/Production.
• Label and store materials, maintain proper identification.
• Complete receiving, transfer, issue, return and cycle-count transactions in systems.
• Maintain organized storage and protect materials from damage.
