Job summary

Kight Home Center is hiring a Carter Architectural Millwork Material Handler in Kentucky to support receiving, inventory, staging, and shipping activities. You will handle materials, verify orders, and ensure accurate labeling and storage while maintaining safety and efficiency in our warehouse.

The role requires reading orders, basic math, and the ability to operate material-handling equipment. Teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in material-handling, warehouse, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, bills of material, labels, packing slips, and basic production documentation.
• Basic math, counting, measuring, and inventory-recording skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain authorization to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and communicate discrepancies clearly.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work in a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and document incoming materials against PO, packing slips, and receipts.
• Inspect materials for quantity, specs, damage, and discrepancies; communicate exceptions.
• Label and store materials, maintain proper locations and identification.
• Complete receiving, transfer, issue, return, and cycle counts in inventory systems.
• Review production orders and stage materials by job and sequence; verify details before release.
• Safely load/unload trucks and maintain documentation of transfers.
