Job summary

The Wilmington Group is hiring a Full Time Plant Laborer for our Haw River, NC plant. The Laborer will support plant operations in a safe and efficient manner on the production floor, with an 1 PM - 10 PM shift and potential extended hours as needed. Hourly rate is based on experience.

Responsibilities include material separation, sorting, material handling, housekeeping, and notifying supervision of equipment issues. Safety and OSHA compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work in a plant setting.
• High awareness to safety at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual material separation for processing.
• Remove non-compliant materials during sorting.
• Handle and store incoming materials in appropriate areas.
• General plant housekeeping on and off the production floor.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor/maintenance staff.

We are seeking a Full Time Plant Laborer for our Haw River, NC plant. The Laborer is responsible for supporting plant operations in a safe and effective manner while maintaining the production floor. Hourly rate based on experience. Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 1 PM - 10 PM with extended hours on an as-needed basis.

How you will make an impact:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Performing manual material separation for processing
• Removing non-compliant materials during the sorting process
• Handling and storage of incoming materials in the appropriate area of the plant
• General plant housekeeping inside and outside the building
• Reporting equipment issues to supervisor/maintenance staff

What you need to succeed:

• 0-2 years’ experience in an industrial environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• High awareness to safety at all times
• Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of integrity
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate equipment properly and safely
• Strict adherence to OSHA and company policies.
