Job summary

The Wilmington Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to support day-to-day plant operations in Haw River, NC. You will lead shift-based teams, drive production plans, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

This developmental role prepares for future Operations Manager responsibilities, reporting to the General Manager. 2+ years in operations, supervisory experience preferred, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce and model safety culture on all shift activities.
• Assist in development and drive execution of daily production plans.
• Monitor shift performance to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Identify and address production issues in real time.
• Ensure proper staffing and attendance on shift.
• Supervise operators and general labor employees.
• Provide coaching and development to staff.
• Support employee training and development.
• Escalate employee relations concerns appropriately.
• Ensure completion of routine equipment inspections.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs.
• Minimize downtime where possible.
• Maintain understanding of customer material specifications.
• Track production output and quality.
• Support material flow and inventory awareness.
• Provide timely updates on shift performance.
• Participate in daily shift meetings.
• Assist with data collection for operational metrics.

The Wilmington Group is seeking an Production Supervisor to support day-to-day plant operations and drive execution of production, safety, and maintenance plans. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in executing production plans, leading shift-based teams, and ensuring consistency in safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position is a developmental role designed to prepare individuals for future Operations Manager responsibilities. The Production Supervisor reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Reinforce and model RMR’s safety culture in all shift activities
• Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed consistently
• Monitor compliance with regulatory and company safety standards
• Document safety observations and incidents

Production Execution

• Aid in development and drive execution of daily production plans established by the Operations Manager
• Monitor shift performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met
• Identify and elevate production issues in real time
• Ensure proper staffing and attendance on shift
• Supervise operators and general labor employees
• Provide coaching, feedback, and direction to improve performance
• Support employee training and development
• Escalate employee relations concerns appropriately

Maintenance & Equipment

• Ensure completion of routine equipment inspections
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
• Support efforts to minimize downtime

Quality & Inventory
