Pennsylvania Steel Company in Birmingham, AL is seeking a dependable Material Handler for the 2nd shift (11am–8pm). You will pull orders, move metals, and pack items to fulfill jobs while keeping a clean, safe workspace and following health and safety policies.

Proficiency with Windows software, the ability to read decimals and fractions, and skill with tape measures and micrometers are required. You must be able to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift 50–100 lbs as needed.

Main Duties/Responsibilities :

Perform various physical tasks related to work order fulfillmentinvolving order pulling, material handling and packaging.

Handling various types of metals by hand or via materialhandling equipment.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplacehealth and safety policies and procedures.

Other assignments as directed.

Experience and Skills:

Skills required & Physical Demands:

Proficient in Windows based software.

Medium/heavy manual work involving handling over 50lbsfrequently and up to 100lbs occasionally.

Tolerance of temperature extremes encountered both inside andoutside an open warehouse environment.
