Pennsylvania Steel Company is seeking a dependable Material Handler for the 2nd shift (11 am - 8 pm, Monday - Friday) at our Birmingham, AL location. This full-time role involves order pulling, material handling, and packaging of metals, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 lbs, operate basic measuring tools, and work safely around cranes and heavy equipment. Competitive hourly wages based on experience are offered.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows based software.
• Working knowledge of decimals and fractions.
• Proficient in measuring via tape measure and micrometers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in an environment with machinery, overhead cranes, and moving equipment.
• Ability to work a full shift on your feet with little stationary time.
• Agility is necessary to climb stairs, ladders, and access forklifts and truck beds.
• Medium/heavy manual work involving handling over 50lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally.
• Tolerance of temperature extremes encountered both inside and outside an open warehouse environment.
