Material Handler – 1st Shift

Location

4230 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35222

Shift

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks for order fulfillment, including order pulling, material handling, and packaging.
• Handle various metals by hand or using material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following health and safety policies and procedures.
• Complete other assignments as directed.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

• Proficient in Windows-based software.
• Working knowledge of decimals and fractions.
• Proficient in measuring with tape measure and micrometers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely around machinery, overhead cranes, and moving equipment.
• Ability to work a full shift on your feet with little stationary time.
• Agility to climb stairs and ladders and access forklifts and truck beds.
• Capability to handle medium/heavy manual work (over 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally).
• Tolerance of temperature extremes inside and outside an open warehouse environment.
