A leading company seeks a Material Handler for a part-time position in St. Louis. The role involves operating equipment for package movement, ensuring safety and efficiency. Candidates must be able to lift heavy items and work in various conditions, with a starting pay of $20.39/hour.
Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight items, dangerous goods, and ULDs. Assists in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight. Serves as a liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor, as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level, and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours, bend and squat, maneuver packages above shoulder level, and work in enclosed spaces. Capable of stacking packages above head if required. Able to work in all weather conditions and climb stairs and ladders. Must complete all basic and re-currency training. Effective communication in noisy environments is required.
This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position. A medical exam is required. Ability to work alert and safely is essential. Valid driver's license is required as operation of motorized conveyances is involved.
This range is an estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. The company offers health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Available shift: Monday-Friday, 7 PM-1 AM. Starting at $17.89/hour plus $2.50/hour pay premium, totaling $20.39/hour. Training on heavy equipment for aircraft loading is provided. Position involves outdoor work loading aircraft.
