Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse-like)

Job Duties

1. Provide safe and efficient operation of equipment used for moving packages, documents, heavyweight items, dangerous goods, and ULDs.
2. Assist in building and breaking down pallets containing heavyweight freight.
3. Serve as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from ground to chest level without assistance and maneuver packages over 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and squat for designated work hours.
• Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces, stacking packages if required.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and climb stairs or ladders if necessary.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurring training.
• Effective communication skills in a noisy environment are required.

Job Conditions

• Non-safety sensitive position; medical exam required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license to operate motorized conveyances.
• Ability to work alertly and safely at all times.

Pay Transparency

This role offers a starting salary estimated at $20.39 per hour, including a $2.50/hour premium for night shift work (Monday-Friday, 7 PM-1 AM). Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Training on heavy equipment for aircraft loading will be provided. This position involves outdoor work loading aircraft.
