Job description

Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight items, dangerous goods, and ULDs. Assists in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight. Acts as a liaison between the company and ULD repair vendors, as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces; stack packages above head if required.
• Capable of working in all weather conditions if required at the work location.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if necessary.
• Successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Effective communication skills in noisy environments.

Job Conditions

• Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license to operate motorized conveyances.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety awareness.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range provides a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, location, and other factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay Range: $20.39 per hour (including a $2.50/hour pay premium). Available shift: Monday-Friday, 7 PM - 1 AM.

Additional Information: Training on heavy equipment for aircraft loading will be provided. The role involves outdoor work loading aircraft.
