Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to production areas. The role is in an outdoors/warehouse environment in Seattle with a pay rate of $21.30 per hour and non-exempt status.

Responsibilities include sorting salvage material, maintaining donor tallies, ensuring safe and efficient flow to the production floor, and assisting with forklift duties when certified. High school or equivalent is preferred, 18+ required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• No experience required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safety practices and report hazards.
• Build and maintain internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with others, including those with limited English skills.
