Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking dedicated team members for an Overnight (3rd Shift) Warehouse role at the Hartford Service Center in Windsor Locks, CT. Meet our team, learn about Bombardier's aerospace operations, and explore opportunities in parts distribution and material handling.

Qualifications

• 2 years or less experience in Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, or Tool Crib.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of SAP (or Syteline for Commercial).
• Previous aviation industry experience is a plus.
• Experience in material handling and export shipping.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general work requirements for factory/shopping/ hanger positions.
• Comply with safety policies; participate in 5-S activities; work safely and timely.
• Receive and inspect incoming/outgoing materials for damage.
• Distribute parts, materials, tools, and ground support equipment per delivery schedules.
• Verify and reconcile documentation on parts and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory using cycle counts and systems.
• Assist in loading/unloading shipments and transport materials within the facility.
• Provide turnovers for oncoming shifts and issue tools to authorized personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overnight (3rd Shift) Schedule Requirement

This position is a permanent overnight (3rd shift) role working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must be available to work one of the following schedules:

• 3A Shift: Every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• 3B Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
• Receive / visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage (BAS Only)
• Distribute parts, materials, tools and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules. May assist in ordering parts if required (BAS only)
• Verify and reconcile appropriate documentation on incoming and outgoing parts and materials
• Maintain accurate inventory (via cycle counts, perpetual, work-in-progress) using computerized / manual systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
• Assist in loading / unloading shipments
• Transport and stock materials from one location to another as required throughout the facility
• Provide verbal or written turnovers for oncoming shifts
• Issue hand tools, machine tools, dies and / or rental equipment to authorized personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned

How to thrive in this role?

• Export shipping experience
