Job summary

Bombardier seeks a Lead Technician, Airframe & Powerplant to support the Hartford Service Center with evening shift operations. The role includes performing complex repairs, assisting with service orders, and coordinating engine/APU runs while training peers.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, 1 year with corporate jets, and a valid FAA A&P certificate. This position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient maintenance workflows.

• At least 1 year corporate/commercial jet experience.
• Current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
• Assist in creation of service orders with SAP or applicable operating systems
• May assist in complete engine and / or APU runs, as required
• Train, coach and support other employees
• May perform Delegated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QA

How to thrive in this role?

• Typically, a minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance work experience or substantiated equivalent experience
• Tpically, a minimum of 1 year corporate / commercial jet experience
• Current, and valid, FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
• Basic PC skills
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
• Own Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory & control of tools
• Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
• Ability to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays and holidays
• Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
