Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Material Handler for the Overnight Shift at the Hartford Service Center. You will handle, inspect, and stock materials, support aircraft delivery schedules, and maintain inventory accuracy in a busy aerospace environment.

Qualified candidates bring forklift credentials, valid driver’s license, and experience with SAP or Syteline, plus strong teamwork and safety consciousness to thrive on 3rd shift operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or tool crib preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SAP or Syteline software is desirable.
• Forklift qualification and Hazmat certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general work requirements and safety policies.
• Receive and inspect incoming/outgoing materials for damage.
• Distribute parts and tools to support aircraft delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Transport and stock materials across the facility as required.
• Provide turnovers for incoming shifts and support loading/unloading shipments.

Overnight (3rd Shift) Schedule Requirement

This position is a permanent overnight (3rd shift) role working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM . Candidates must be available to work one of the following schedules:

• 3A Shift: Every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• 3B Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday

What are your contributions to the team?

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
• Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
• Receive / visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage (BAS Only)
• Distribute parts, materials, tools and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules. May assist in ordering parts if required (BAS only)
• Verify and reconcile appropriate documentation on incoming and outgoing parts and materials
• Maintain accurate inventory (via cycle counts, perpetual, work-in-progress) using computerized / manual systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
• Assist in loading / unloading shipments
• Transport and stock materials from one location to another as required throughout the facility
• Provide verbal or written turnovers for oncoming shifts
• Issue hand tools, machine tools, dies and / or rental equipment to authorized personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned

How to thrive in this role?

• Shipping / Receiving
• Tool Crib
• Valid Driver’s License
• Customer Service Experience
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Basic knowledge of SAP (or Syteline for Commercial)
• Previous experience in the aviation industry
• Previous experience in material handling
• Previous Forklift qualified
• Export shipping experience
• Hazmat Certification
