Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training
• Certified to operate all equipment related to moving material within the warehouse
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information
• Basic math and ability to use measurements and graphs

Responsibilities

• Observe load hookup and determine the safety of the load
• Operate crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement
• Use hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, or bucket as load requires
• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspect crane for defects and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• Assist with training newly hired Material Handler I

The higher end of the range, $29.75, is reserved for candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications.Summary: Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane (ground controlled) to lift, move, and position steel loads within the production facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
