Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a team member for the NIGHT SHIFT who will operate machines, use forklifts and overhead cranes, and help meet production, quality and safety goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma, basic Microsoft knowledge, experience with forklift and crane equipment, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, read production orders, and communicate effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or related area is preferred.
• Basic Microsoft knowledge required.
• Experience with forklifts, cranes, and pneumatic tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and guide line workers to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret production orders accurately.
• Inspect equipment and maintain safety practices.
• Maintain quality and meet customer requirements.
• Document materials produced and use appropriate handling equipment.

Job Description

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Shift: NIGHT SHIFT

• Overhead crane experience a PLUS


• Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements


• Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and completes observations


• Inspect equipment for safety


• Read and understand a production order


• Meet company productivity requirements


• Meet company and customer quality requirements


• Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced


• Abilityto read tape


• Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management


• Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III


• Standing and walking 8 to 12 hourseveryday


• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent


• Previous experience in a related area


• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge


• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various pneumatic equipment


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
