Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Night Shift Operator in Tennessee. You will operate production equipment, use forklifts and cranes, and read production orders to help meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

The role requires a high school diploma, previous manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full benefits start day one, including medical, dental and vision, PTO, holidays, 401k and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Basic Microsoft knowledge.
• Experience with forklift, crane, nail gun, saws and pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and guide line helpers to meet production goals.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safe Work environment observations.
• Inspect equipment for safety and read production orders.
• Meet productivity, quality and customer requirements.
• Use forklift, crane and manual material handling with proper documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with team, supervisor and management.
• Stand/walk 8–12 hours daily; climb on/off equipment and ladders.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Shift: NIGHT SHIFT

• Overhead crane experience a PLUS
• Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements
• Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and completes observations
• Inspect equipment for safety
• Read and understand a production order
• Meet company productivity requirements
• Meet company and customer quality requirements
• Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
• Ability to read tape
• Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management
• Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
• Standing and walking 8 to 12 hours everyday
• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a related area
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various pneumatic equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
