Material Handler (night Shift) (Finance)

Job Description

Essential Duties:

1. Perform nightly operational checks on mobile equipment (condition of forks, lift mechanisms, brakes, wheels, control handles for wear and tear, fluid leaks, damage, etc.).
2. Record and inspect equipment, including cleaning, checking, and adding fluids as needed.
3. Receive and transport raw materials using various mobile equipment (manual pallet jacks, ride-on pallet jacks, lift trucks, etc.).
4. Move and transport in-process products throughout the production area.
5. Accurately recognize and distinguish between part numbers and lot numbers greater than 10 characters.
6. Troubleshoot equipment and material issues.
7. Communicate the status of current materials or products to co-workers, verbally or via two-way radio.
8. Provide documentation such as delivery orders, lot tracking sheets, quality deviation sheets, and quality specifications to downstream customers.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

• Wearing PPE may include a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit with respirator, to ensure health and safety.

MUST-HAVES:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in material handling and warehouse operations.
• Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).

NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to operate manual and motorized pallet jacks or lift trucks.
• Familiarity with MES, LOTO, FIFO, Lot numbers.
• Basic math skills and accurate counting in an active environment.
• Experience with computer terminals, operator interface terminals, touch screens, RF scanners.
