Job summary

Threaded Fasteners, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to accurately process orders, ship/receive items, and support inventory counts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires basic warehouse experience, ability to operate a forklift, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a hot/cold manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Retrieve stock to fulfill orders accurately.
• Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Inspect goods for defects and report issues to supervisor.
• Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Load/unload products and prepare items for shipping.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace following 6S principles.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery.

Position Summary

The Material Handler provides customer satisfaction in accurately processing customer orders, shipping, receiving intra-company transfers, and inventory counts.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift, two-wheel hand cart, and scales.
• Retrieve stock to fulfill orders.
• Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Check orders for accuracy.
• Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to the supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product will be sent out.
• Place compiled/completed orders ni appropriate designated areas.
• Monitor the movement and progress of orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling products, and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to a standard operating procedure, making a note to follow any special instructions on orders with customer-specific requests.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, organized, and maintained by following the 6 S's (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
• Load finished products/orders onto trucks. Transport stock from storage to warehouse or where needed. Load or unload material inbound or outbound.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Assist in counting physical inventory.
• Wear the proper safety equipment and always abide by safety rules.

Education And Experience Required

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
• Previous 1-2 years warehouse experience required

Preferred Education, Experience, And Skills

• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, and successful completion of a forklift training program
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 6+ hours per shift
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift
