Job summary

SPX is seeking a Material Handler in Springfield, MO to support Manufacturing - Operations. You will read work orders, load and unload materials, and move items to designated areas while maintaining accurate counts.

You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, follow safety protocols, and work well with team members in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and adherence to SPX standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions, memos, and briefings.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and unit conversions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows instructions to determine material requirements.
• Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets, racks, trays, and shelves.
• Transports materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records units moved on inventory sheets; maintains accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
