Job summary

Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by pulling and staging building materials, loading/unloading for various trucks, and assisting customers with loading materials.

You will be responsible for accurate shipping and inventory documentation, operating forklifts and related equipment, and following all safety procedures in an outdoor work environment with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
• 18 Years or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and up to 100 lbs in a team lift.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Availability to work during operating hours, M-F 7a-6p. Overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and staging building material products (lumber, cabinets, windows, doors, decking, siding).
• Safely loading and unloading materials on a variety of truck types including semi, box trucks and flat beds.
• Assisting customers with loading materials.
• Accurately completing shipping and inventory documents.
• Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions while staying adaptable and prepared.

The Material Handler Is Responsible For
