Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler-Loader for the 3rd shift. You will operate forklifts and other equipment to load/unload and move materials, band and wrap products, and keep the warehouse organized and safe.

You will read tickets, measure with a tape, and learn to use a chainsaw and Holtec Saw while collaborating with supervisors to meet daily goals. Prior lumber experience is preferred, forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

Job description

US Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Material Handler-Loader-3rd Shift join our team.

In this role you will focus on:

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
• Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
• Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Accurately pull daily orders.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
