Job summary

Ganahl Lumber Company is seeking a Lumberman to load and unload building materials and related items for delivery or storage. You will read work orders, move loads using material handling equipment, and attach identifying tags to materials.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to company policies, with responsibilities including yard duties and maintaining a clean work environment. A high school diploma and basic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand and relay written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Move loads, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Attach identifying tags to loads, stock, or other materials.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or operational needs.
• Stack loads in locations such as material sheds, storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Carry out general yard duties.
• Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
• Follows all organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Reviews deliveries for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Adheres to company policies and work requirements.
