Job summary

Ganahl Lumber Co. seeks a Lumberman to load and unload building materials and other incoming materials for delivery or storage. This position is occasionally referred to as a Load Builder.

The role involves reading work orders, using hand tools and material handling equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean yard in Escondido, CA. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move loads, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas.
• Attach identifying tags to loads, stock, or other materials.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or operational needs.
• Stack loads in locations such as material sheds, storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Carry out general yard duties.
• Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
• Follows all organizational policies and procedures
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Reviews deliveries for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Adheres to company policies and work requirements.
