Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, VT is seeking a full-time Material Handler. This day-shift role runs 5:00 AM–1:30 PM and includes weekend work with a $2.75/hr differential for weekend hours.

You will inventory and restock nursing PAR areas, enter replenishment orders into the MMIS system, pick and deliver supplies, and operate material handling equipment. Required: high school diploma or equivalent; ability to stand 8 hours; lift 35–50 lbs; push/pull over 74 lbs; strong

Job description

Please note this is a full-time 40 hour/week position. It is on the day shift working 5am - 1:30pm, working every weekend. There is a $2.75/hr differential on top of your rate of pay for weekend hours.

Position Summary:

The Material Handler position consists of manifold responsibilities within Supply Chain Services. Individuals interested in this position must be willing to learn and perform varied tasks and have the flexibility to work various shifts and schedules. The Material Handler is responsible for inventorying and restocking nursing PAR areas for medical-surgical and linen supplies, entering replenishment orders into the MMIS computer application, picking supplies, and making deliveries of varied types to customers. This position is responsible for use of manual and electric material handling equipment. Material Handler staff maybe called upon to performany one or more of these functions based on a particular job assignment.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Previous pick, pack and shipping experience in either a distribution or retail environment strongly preferred.Must have strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail.
