Job description

Please note this is a full-time 40 hour/week position. It is on the day shift working 5am - 1:30pm, working every weekend. There is a $2.75/hr differential on top of your rate of pay for weekend hours.

Position Summary

The Material Handler position consists of manifold responsibilities within Supply Chain Services. Individuals interested in this position must be willing to learn and perform varied tasks and have the flexibility to work various shifts and schedules. The Material Handler is responsible for inventorying and restocking nursing PAR areas for medical-surgical and linen supplies, entering replenishment orders into the MMIS computer application, picking supplies, and making deliveries of varied types to customers. This position is responsible for use of manual and electric material handling equipment. Material Handler staff maybe called upon to perform any one or more of these functions based on a particular job assignment.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience

The physical demands of this position are:

Previous pick, pack and shipping experience in either a distribution or retail environment strongly preferred. Must have strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail.
