Job summary

Responsibilities include processing inbound freight, moving materials with pallet jacks and forklifts, inspecting shipments for discrepancies, and maintaining stock levels on the sales floor with safe handling and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Experience as a Material Handler with knowledge of inventory systems and proper storage methods is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive, load, unload, count, weigh, measure, code and store materials on or from freight vehicles.
• Move material using handling tools including pallet jack, dolly, and operation of forklifts or other vehicles.
• Open and unwrap crates, boxes, cartons using hammers, crowbars, cutting tools and tape.
• Wrap, seal and secure material on pallets for distribution.
• Stock shelves and areas of the sales floor for maximum inventory.
