Job summary

Saab, Inc. in Cranston, RI is seeking a Material Handler to join the Manufacturing/Production team. This role begins in Cranston but may transfer to Bristol when the latter facility opens in 2027.

Responsibilities include moving material, storage and retrieval, packing, inventory checks, and ensuring safety and quality on the production floor. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or material handling.
• Experience with tools, software, and related technologies.
• Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical material tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport product to and from designated areas within the facility.
• Ensure proper storage and retrieval of materials and finished goods.
• Consolidate product within assigned locations.
• Pack goods on pallets or crates for shipment.
• Stack goods in correct locations following inventory controls.
• Verify loads are properly secured before movement or shipment.
• Perform daily material checks on the production floor.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Production Supervisor, or Manager.
