Job summary

Symmons Industries, Inc. in Braintree, MA is seeking a Material Handler to move materials from our offsite warehouse to the manufacturing floor, ensuring real-time replenishment and accurate stock.

You will store materials, assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, perform cycle counts, and support the Warehouse Manager and Value Stream Managers. A High School diploma plus 1–3 years of manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to operate power equipment (forklifts, turret machine, order picker, and electric pallet jacks).
• Ability to follow both verbal and written work instructions.
• Must have a passing grade on the Basic Math and English test that will be provided.
• Willing to become certified as a Forklift operation.
• Working knowledge of JDE system, material transactions, and material replenishment system a plus.
• Understanding of the KANBAN system and how it functions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order and manage the material flow from offsite warehouse to manufacturing/assembly areas with real-time transactions.
• Store delivered materials in proper inventory locations.
• Assist Warehouse Manager and Value Stream Managers on resolving inventory discrepancies on the floor.
• Perform Cycle counts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Value Stream Manager.
