Job summary

Emerson's Olive Branch, Mississippi distribution center is hiring a Material Handler III – Returns on first shift. You will move materials safely with reach trucks and pallet jacks, stock incoming items, and assist with order picking.

In Returns you will process customer returns, re-box and relabel items to standards, document activity in the WMS, and support breakdown and inspection of returned materials. Overtime and weekend flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of powered equipment operator experience.
  • Must have experience using a WMS system.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have basic computer skills.

  • Use and return documents to breakdown and process customer returns into warehouse WMS system.
  • Repackaging and relabeling damaged boxes to company standards to ensure sellable condition.

  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

Are you a skilled Powered Equipment Operator looking to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced distribution environment? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler III – Returns on first shift at our Olive Branch, Mississippi distribution center. In this role, you will safely and efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse using powered equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. You will support warehouse operations by stocking incoming materials, completing replenishment activities, and picking orders while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

As part of the Returns team, you will also be responsible for processing customer returns, performing light assembly work, re-boxing products, and supporting the breakdown and inspection of returned materials. Your contributions will help ensure efficient inventory management and a positive customer experience.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Assembly of raw materials to make finished goods.
  • Use and return documents to breakdown and process customer returns into warehouse WMS system.
  • Repackaging and relabeling damaged boxes to per company standards to ensure it is in sellable condition.
  • Transport material on certified powered equipment as needed
  • Follow to safety policies and procedures.
  • Performnecessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
  • Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulationsrequired by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Promote a sense of urgency and supports and reinforces individual accountability with other team members.
  • Quickly and decisively act in fast and changing unpredictable situations.
  • Show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations while identifying opportunities to optimize processes.
  • Unpack, sort, count, re-box, receive, document and put away product that has an approved return material authorization form.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum 1 Year Experienced powered equipment operator
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Must have experience using a WMS system
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, push and pull for shift all product/carton weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Follow directions and see the task through safely.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
