Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Assembler to perform assembly, sub-assembly, testing, and rework activities in a manufacturing setting. You will follow standard work instructions and blueprints, use hand and power tools, and ensure quality and timely completion of work orders.

You will read blueprints, track production in the ERP, and work safely with lifting equipment. Associate degree holders and those with manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to carry objects and perform physical activities including reaching, stretching, bending, and twisting.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and sub-assembly of products by following standard work instructions and mechanical blueprints using hand tools and power tools at an adjustable-height workstation.
  • Test products using measuring tools, including calipers, and testing equipment for electronic components as required.
  • Troubleshoot and rework products that do not meet testing standards through disassembly, reassembly, and additional testing.
  • Accurately track the progress and completion of work orders, including associated scrap, within the ERP system.
  • Use overhead assist/lift equipment to safely move larger parts and finished products to and from workstations.
  • Package finished products and prepare them for shipment on pallets.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
  • Support additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

As an Assembler, you will play a key role in producing high-quality products by performing assembly, sub-assembly, testing, and rework activities in a manufacturing environment. This role supports operational excellence by ensuring products meet quality standards, maintaining accurate production records, and contributing to the timely completion of work orders. You will work collaboratively with team members to deliver reliable solutions while following established safety and quality procedures.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Perform assembly and sub-assembly of products by following standard work instructions and mechanical blueprints using hand tools and power tools at an adjustable-height workstation.
  • Test products using measuring tools, including calipers, and testing equipment for electronic components as required.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or production tracking tools.
