Job summary

Baxter in the United States is hiring a Material Handler III to support the production of Plastic Pour Bottles. You will ensure materials are available, verify lot accuracy, and operate equipment to move materials between production and warehouse.

You will perform line clearances, maintain documentation, support Lean and 6S, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet safety and quality goals. This role requires a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.
• Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
• Able to complete documentation legibly and per procedure.
• Trained as forklift and hand cart driver preferred.
• Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
• Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs and cGMP. Notify supervisor and take action for safety/quality issues; sustain 6S housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing processes for the production of Plastic Pour Bottles.
• Perform and document line clearances.
• Verify correctness of material.
• Responsible for supplying parts to and from the manufacturing operation.
• Operate forklift to transfer gaylords and totes to/from warehouse.
• Clean and bring empty gaylords into the department to be filled with preforms.
• Remove used gaylord bags from the empty gaylords and replace with new bags.
• Stack and remove filled preform gaylords from the production area on a forklift and stage in the released warehouse area.
• Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 6S responsibilities as assigned.
