Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
• A Tyco forklift/over-the-road driver's license is required.
• Significant knowledge of the material movement transactions in the SAP system is required.
• Reads bills of lading, packing lists and bills of material are required.
• HazMat Training and Certification (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Transports supplies and finished materials with a lift truck by visual checks of load/weight.
• Records data on material completion or transfers using scanner; verifies counts and part numbers.
• Loads/unloads trucks and rail cars; verifies counts, type and condition of materials.
• Reports damaged material and completes shortage/damage reports.
• Receives materials from outside vendors; verifies quantity on packing slips; uses bar code scanner.
• Moves scrap to storage; maintains inventory records of scrap; verifies counts or weights.
• Issues parts from cribs and prepares proper forms; visually counts/weights material.
• Orders inventory for production areas when needed from warehouse.
• Operates a truck to transport material between locations; unloads flat bed and boxcars.
• Performs maintenance on trucks and forklifts; fills LP gas tanks as needed.
• Conducts daily inventories to ensure materials meet production needs.
• Assists in annual inventory in warehouses and factory locations.
• Maintains housekeeping and order in assigned areas; supports efficiency improvements.
• Trains/mentors peers within the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
