Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate in a fast-paced, metal materials environment. You will handle storage, picking, packing, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods on the warehouse floor.

The role requires 4–6 years of warehousing experience, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and Lean/Quality Control know-how. It is a safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing expectations and compliance with health and safety standards.

Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
• Examines incoming shipments for damages or shortages
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
• Cycle Counts
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Perform general clean up
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor
• May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to lower level employees
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
