Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is hiring for a warehouse forklift operator in Sunnyvale, TX. The role involves moving product between receiving, putaway and shipping, and operating multiple forklift types to assemble orders. You will verify stock, apply labels, and ensure accuracy and safety throughout the process.

The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with a range of benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year distribution/warehouse experience with forklift operations.
• Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks is required.
• Good oral and written communication, accuracy and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders from stock and placing on pallets.
• Operate powered trucks to assemble customer orders and move to packing/shipping.
• Record orders in the Warehouse Management System and verify stock.
• Convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the workspace organized.

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport product from receiving department to stock shelves.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

Sit-Down Forklift

Stand-Up/Reach Forklift

Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

• Picking

Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

Opens crates and inspects product

Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

Labels boxes with packing slip

Loads boxes into conveyor belt

Verifies orders for accuracy

General

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

Follows standard operating and safety procedures

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
