Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. in Texas is seeking a warehouse associate to operate powered industrial trucks, pick orders, receive shipments, put away stock, and support shipping and packing processes.

You will verify stock, log activities in the WMS, and maintain accurate records while following safety procedures and quality standards. This full-time role offers stable hours for the 2nd shift and opportunities for growth within Mohawk Industries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in distribution/warehouse environment preferred.
• Six months to 1 year experience operating sit-down forklift, reach truck, and order picker equipment.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record-keeping and listening skills; accurate measurements.
• Ability to understand and speak English; work safely and conscientiously.
• Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to pick orders from stock and palletize for packing.
• Enter orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS) and verify stock availability.
• Reload, receive, and put away product; ensure accurate location placement.

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

Picking

• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking
• Opens crates and inspects product
• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures
• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received
• Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves
• Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping
• Labels boxes with packing slip
• Loads boxes into conveyor belt
• Verifies orders for accuracy

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
