Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift in our Sunnyvale distribution center. You will operate Sit-Down and Stand-Up forklifts to pick orders, receive shipments, and move stock to allocated locations.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma and 1+ year warehouse experience, plus forklift certifications. The company offers a competitive salary, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift, reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and move them to packing/shipping areas.
• Enter orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy.
• Convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.
• Receive product into the warehouse and prepare for stocking.
• Open crates, inspect products, and apply labels.
• Put away received product and ensure correct inventory locations.
• Wrap and pack products, label boxes, and load onto conveyor or pallets.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the area clean and organized.

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shippingarea.

Shift

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge

• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities

• Picking

Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Receiving

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

Opens crates and inspects product

Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Putaway

Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• SPC Check/Pack Checking

Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

Labels boxes with packing slip

Loads boxes into conveyor belt

Verifies orders for accuracy

General

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

Follows standard operating and safety procedures

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
