Job summary

BAE Systems in Nashua, NH is seeking an Operations associate to coordinate internal flow of materials and support manufacturing schedules. This full-time, on-site role requires working at a BAE Systems facility.

You will perform inventory control, assemble and stage kits, manage material shortages, and ensure proper labeling and safety compliance. A high school diploma and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with DOT-driving capability preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Basic understanding of PC applications including Oracle and iStar.
• Must be able to pass BAE drivers test and ability to fulfill DOT requirements to drive the company truck.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the internal flow of raw material and in process manufactured hardware to support manufacturing schedules and Operations commitments on engineering and production programs.
• Prepares and verifies assembly kits to meet pre-scheduled release dates using pick list.
• Selects stock using first in-first out system, checks and records solder ability date, vendor date code and quantity issued.
• Interfaces with materials and production personnel to resolve materials shortages.
• Responds to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs, works from computerized reports.
• Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications and labels stocks in bins or back-order.
• Delivers completed assembly kits or POU material to designated areas and releases to WIP when required.
• Performs cycle count audits and physical inventories and audits inventory records for accuracy.
• Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels per OSHA guidelines.
• Must be able to drive a company truck.

Coordinates the internal flow of raw material and in process manufactured hardware to support manufacturing schedules and Operations commitments on engineering and production programs. Support the manufacturing process by performing inventory management and the associated material support and documentation maintenance activities.

Prepares and verifies assembly kits to meet pre-scheduled release dates using pick list. Selects stock using first in-first out system, checks and records solder ability date, vendor date code (when required) and quantity issued. Interfaces with materials and production personnel to resolve materials shortages.

Responds to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs, works from computerized reports.

Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified. Labels and stocks in specified bins or fills back-order requirements, both for the assembly floor or kits in process.

Delivers completed assembly kits or point of use (POU) material to designated areas and if required, releases to work-in-process (WIP)

Performs cycle count audits and physical inventories. Audits inventory records for accuracy on a regular basis. Checks actual stock against amounts recorded.

Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels in conformance with Company and OSHA guidelines.

Must be able to drive a company truck.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41844 - $66952

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
