Job summary

Mestex in Dallas, TX is seeking a Material Handler – Fabrication to support our fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will receive, unload, inventory, move materials, and help keep fabrication flowing.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of warehouse or manufacturing material handling experience.
  • Forklift certification and proven operating experience (required)
  • Experience supporting fabrication or manufacturing operations
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems
  • Strong attention to safety and quality
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inventory purchased component parts.
  • Transport materials and staged kits to fabrication and assembly areas.
  • Pull and stage parts for fabrication work orders.
  • Operate forklifts safely to move materials throughout the fabrication floor.
  • Identify and report quality issues with incoming materials.
  • Support UPS parts shipments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support safety, housekeeping, and team morale initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inventory purchased component parts
  • Transport materials and staged kits to fabrication and assembly areas
  • Pull and stage parts for fabrication work orders
  • Operate forklifts safely to move materials throughout the fabrication floor
  • Identify and report quality issues with incoming materials

  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
