Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Material Handler I to safely, accurately, and efficiently handle multiple product types for receiving, locating, shipping, and keeping daily operations running.

Responsibilities include loading and staging products, potentially acting as a checker, and maintaining inventory with strong attention to safety and process standards. The role may involve interaction with customers and driving PIT equipment in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred.
• Successful completion of health and environmental safety training.
• May be required to use department specific database systems such as AS400.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in basic math.

Responsibilities

• Handle receive, locate, ship, and keep operations running for various products (roll goods, packages, cartons, pallets).
• Load products on trucks or stage at appropriate locations.
• May act as checker to verify pulled items against the pull sheet.
• Interact with customers and handle customer pick up orders.
• Document and maintain inventory.
• Perform pre-shift PIT inspections and safety checks.
• Create color code with each lot/color used in work orders and match to go-by.
