Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas is seeking a Material Handler II to support outbound and inbound material flow in the Austin distribution center. You will operate pallet jacks, sort and prepare merchandise, and collaborate with leadership to meet daily production goals.

The role requires training completion, safety compliance, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Material Handler II training requirements.
• Certification to operate electric walking and riding pallet jacks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
• Demonstrated safe work performance and satisfactory attendance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate warehouse floors and outdoor areas.
• Exposure to dust, heat/cold and outdoor work areas.
• Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Sort donations and merchandise into designated streams per procedures.
• Process, stack, palletize, and prepare materials for storage, shipment, or sale.
• Operate tippers, trash compactors, vertical balers safely.
• Transport palletized items across the Distribution Center.
• Ensure clean, organized, and safe work areas and report issues.
• Cross-train in multiple functions to increase roster flexibility.
• Maintain professional conduct with customers, donors, and teammates.
