Qualifications

  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
  • 6 months of experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).

Responsibilities

  • Complex assemblies to fulfill customer orders while following Standard Work.
  • Comply with environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain 5S+ in the area.
  • Use forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods safely.
  • Ensure forklift operations meet safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform forklift maintenance checks to ensure good condition.
  • Coordinate with team using radios or other tools.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear PPE.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets.
  • Verify delivery accuracy and inspect materials for damage.
  • Perform inventory transactions through the MRP system and pick accurately.
  • Perform cycle counts as required.
  • Safely transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
  • Dispose of scrap material (non-metals).
  • Use lift assists or partner lifts when moving material. May lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Flex to other areas as needed.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler II (3rd Shift).

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Commercial Product Assemblies division is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team on 3rd shift. This position is based at our Greenwood, SC location. Hourly Rate: Starting at $20.00 and $1.00 shift premium.

Position Overview:

The Material Handler will be responsible for material movement within the facility with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for material handling for the Low Voltage Assemblies. They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the warehouse and logistics department as needed.

In this function you will:

  • You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.
  • Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Sustainment of 5S+ in area.
  • Using forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials.
  • Ensuring all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performing regular maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Using radio or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize tasks.
  • Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets.
  • Verifying the accuracy of deliveries and inspecting materials for damage.
  • Responsible for performing inventory transactions through MRP system and picks accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for performing cycle count transaction as required.
  • Responsible for safely transporting material throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for safely loading and unloading materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
  • Responsible for disposal for the scrap material (excluding metals).
  • Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.
Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
Skills:
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
