Position Overview

The Material Handler II is responsible for efficiently handling, moving, and coordinating materials within the manufacturing facility, supporting advanced production processes. This role involves receiving, storing, distributing, and managing materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role also includes resolving material flow challenges and mentoring less experienced handlers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions.
• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring organization for accessibility and safety.
• Distribute materials to production areas, addressing shortages.
• Monitor inventory accuracy using advanced inventory control practices.
• Operate various material handling equipment and assist in training team members.
• Maintain workspace cleanliness and safety compliance, identifying hazards.
• Lead or assist with inventory audits, report findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Note: Duties may vary slightly by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings, including advanced material handling (preferred).
• Experience with inventory management systems and process improvements (preferred).

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in advanced material handling, inventory management, operation of handling equipment, safety, quality control, time management, workflow management, documentation, RF scanners, and troubleshooting.

Certifications

• Forklift certification (company-provided training and certification required upon hire).
