Position Summary

The Material Handler II is responsible for the safe movement of Customer products. Duties include movement of product within unprocessed storage area, transfer of product to processing area, loading and unloading processed product, placing and retrieving monitoring devices on product, pre-shipping preparation, and staging product in processed area. Reviews product and process documents and instructions, such as customer-provided special instructions or work instructions, ensuring accurate processing. This role may include duties of Material Handler I, Warehouse Material Handler, Warehouse Assistant, and/or Operator, with initiation and/or completion of Operator training programs. Trained other Material Handlers in essential functions. Depending on the modality (e.g., Gamma), this is a highly physical role requiring strength and endurance.

Shift Hours

Thursday - Saturday and every other Sunday, 8 am - 8 pm

What You'll Do as a Material Handler II

1. Transfer product from unprocessed storage to processing, load/unload processed product, conduct pre-shipping prep, and stage product. Review documents and instructions for accuracy.
2. Maximize processing efficiency, monitor equipment, perform minor repairs, maintain a clean work area, and process product as qualified.
3. Assist in maintaining inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling, and storing product per procedures and instructions.
4. Ensure processing accuracy and product accountability by maintaining documentation, implementing corrective actions, and analyzing product monitoring devices.
5. Support safety by responding to alarms, reporting issues, assisting in resolving problems within safety guidelines, and conducting daily housekeeping.
6. Participate in Operator training for skill development.
7. Contribute to team efforts by adhering to policies, GMP, Lean principles, and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 4 years of warehousing experience in an FDA, ISO, GMP environment

Preferred Skills

• Forklift, Equipment Operator, or related certification (preferred)
