Job Description

The purpose of the Material Handler position is to move goods within the warehouse or distribution center using forklifts or other lifts to supply production areas or remove finished goods, ensuring continuous operation and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies when operating equipment
• Stack freight methodically according to safety and quality standards
• Plan efficient movement of freight based on layout and volume
• Inspect and operate forklift equipment
• Perform tasks related to moving goods
• Supply production areas and remove finished goods
• Monitor product quality and report issues
• Sort, process, pack, and document materials
• Assemble orders and manage inventory accuracy
• Maintain productivity goals and provide feedback on issues
• Operate RF devices and ensure timely shipping and receiving
• Assist with inventory control and uphold quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S)
• Cross-train on other warehouse functions

Qualifications

• Ability to complete forklift training and updates
• Operate material lifts as directed
• Work in an organized, color-coded environment
• Communicate effectively at all levels
• Work independently and in teams
• Read labels and numbers
• Operate in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years warehouse experience and forklift operation experience
• Leadership and WMS/RF system experience are a plus
