The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Commercial Product Assemblies division is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team on 3rd shift. This position is based at our Hodges, SC location. Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.00 and $1.00 shift premium.

Position Overview

The Material Handler will be responsible for material movement within the facility with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for material handling for the Low Voltage Assemblies. They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the warehouse and logistics department as needed.

In This Function You Will
  • Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Sustainment of 5S+ in area.
  • Using forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials.
  • Ensuring all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performing regular maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Using radio or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize tasks.
  • Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets.
  • Verifying the accuracy of deliveries and inspecting materials for damage.
  • Responsible for performing inventory transactions through MRP system and picks accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for performing cycle count transaction as required.
  • Responsible for safely transporting material throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for safely loading and unloading materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
  • Responsible for disposal of scrap material (excluding metals).
  • Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).
