Responsibilities
  • Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
  • Operate forklifts or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
  • Develop a good knowledge of the company and participate in projects for career development.
  • Learn the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.
  • Develop the business knowledge required for the full job.
  • Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on complexity.
  • Follow defined procedures and practices.
  • Communicate with immediate supervisors and team members.
  • Support different products and areas to meet business needs.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections.
  • Accept responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitments.
  • Participate in team meetings and share job-related information.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, attendance, and quality.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively.
  • Practice safety guidelines and support company safety initiatives.
  • Understand basic functions of the ERP system.
  • Assist in training new employees or those learning new work areas.
  • Participate in the Drive to Zero safety program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment.
  • Identify and resolve basic problems effectively.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Maintain positive and professional work ethics.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • For Material Handler II and III, additional skills include cross-training, advanced troubleshooting, training others, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Material Handler III requires 2 years of material handling/forklift experience and certification.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent computer use and occasional travel are expected.
